Online check-in

CityJet check-in can be done online, with services opening 30 hours before a flight is scheduled to depart. This can be performed either by using a web browser (desktop or mobile), or on the company's iPhone app. Online check-in closes 1 hour before a flight's departure.

To complete the online check-in with CityJet, passengers will need to know their booking reference, flight number, departure airport and departure date. This service can also be used to pay for extra luggage, enter advanced passenger information (required on some flights – usually a passport number) and print boarding passes.

Hand luggage allowance

The CityJet airline operates two different aircraft models. The limits for hand baggage dimensions are different for each of these types of airlines. For the AVRO RJ85, cabin baggage may not exceed 55c x 35 x 25 cm, whilst the FOKKER-50 has a restriction on anything over 47.5 x 35 x 20 cm. Regardless which aircraft is being used for the flight, cabin baggage is limited to 12 kg in weight.

Each passenger is entitled to one piece of hand luggage and one small personal item such as a handbag or laptop case. If passengers exceed these allowances, they can be charged and may have their excess luggage stored as hold baggage.

Checked baggage allowance

Passengers on CityJet flights with either CityValue or CityFlex tickets are allowed 1 piece of checked baggage up to 23 kg in weight, whilst those with CityPremium tickets may check in 2 pieces of baggage each weighing up to 23 kg. Infants are allowed 1 piece of checked baggage weighing up to 10kg plus a pushchair. No single item of checked baggage may weigh more than 32 kg, otherwise passengers will be charged an excess baggage fee.

Sporting equipment is not considered part of a passengers checked baggage allowance, with the exception of golf clubs. Golf clubs are included under the normal allowance for number of pieces and weight. Wheelchairs and other mobility aids will be carried by the CityJet airline with no extra charge.
